Summer Camp Information
Summer 2013
Level 1 Horse Camp - We are often asked if horse experience is needed and the answer is NO! With Level 1 we will start at square one. The main focus of this camp is to learn basic skills to take care of your horse such as feeding, grooming, haltering, leading, and yes cleaning up after them :) The campers will be introduced to bareback riding, Western and English riding and even be able to go on a small trail ride. We will make a fun camp t-shirt that they will be able to wear at their show on Friday. The horse show will be a great time for friends and family to come see what the campers have learned. This is a great introduction class to basic horsemanship for parents who may want to start horse back riding lessons for their child or may want to someday buy them their own horse or for those who just want their children to have a fun and safe experience working with horses. Camp space is limited to only 10 campers per camp. Please be sure to register early.
Level 2 Horse Camp - Campers will need to have completed Level 1 horse camp or have prior experience handling horses. I would like them to be able to halter and lead a horse and have basic knowledge taking care of a horse. In this camp we will be building upon the basic horsemanship skills and care of their own horse. We will be focusing on better control while riding the horse and we will be practicing riding the horses in patterns. We will make a fun camp t-shirt that they will be able to wear at their show on Friday. This is a great class that will build upon and reinforce all the basic horsemanship skills we learned in the Level 1 camp. Its also great for parents who may want to start horse back riding lessons for their child or may want to someday buy them their own horse or for those who just want their children to have a fun and safe experience working with horses. Camp space is limited to only 10 campers per camp. Please be sure to register early.
**Please contact me before registering your child for Level 2 just to ensure we have them correctly placed. **
